Exercises of the week!

Toe Tappers: Middle body

-Lying on back, reach for toes with fingers

-Touch opposite toes for variety

The Flamingo: Full body

-Hop on one foot 5 times then switch to other foot...switch, switch

Sidewinders: Full body

-Side shuffle quickly w/o crossing feet

-Switch directions halfway through

Lizards: Middle body

- Lie on stomach with arms at sides

- Gently raise head and upper torso 6 inches

- Keep head in line with back

Exercises of the week!

The Bridge:  Middle Body

  • begin in a modified push up position (on knees)
  • slowly drop elbows to the floor (resting on forearms)
  • lift knees off floor and hold in a thigh body position (body straight)
  • hold for allotted amount of time

The Lunge: Lower Body

  • stand with feet shoulder-width apart and elbows at 90 degrees
  • step forward and lower body to the floor until thigh is parallel to the floor (do not let the front knee go past the toes)
  • opposite elbow remains in 90 degree position in front of the body (running form)
  • step backward with same leg and return to original position
  • switch legs and repeat
