For your child’s safety, tennis/athletic shoes should be worn during Physical Education class.  Please, for safety do not let your child wear hard sole shoes or boots, sandals, “Crocs”, flip flops, clogs or high heels to P.E. class.  Shorts should be worn under skirts/dresses for modesty.

Your child may have outdoor P.E. with Coach Golden and Coach Berryman. Please remember to check the weather in order to know how to dress for the out-of-doors. Appropriate footwear is the same as above—tennis/athletic shoes.

Inappropriate behavior in Physical Education class will not be tolerated. Class time is too short, and too many students will miss instruction when a discipline problem is being addressed. Appropriate behavior is expected of all students. P.E. class will be both Physically and Emotionally safe for all students. Students will be given a skills and an effort grade in P. E. on the report card.

If your child needs to be excused from P. E. class because of illness, please send an excuse signed by a parent or guardian. Excuses after 3 consecutive days must be signed by a doctor. If your child has a pre-existing condition (asthma, allergies, diabetes, heart problems, epilepsy, seizures, etc.) that should prevent him/her from participating in strenuous activity, please send a note in so we can be made aware of the condition.
