Hockey
Second and Third grade students practiced their hockey skills.
Kicking
Kindergarten and First grade worked on their kicking skills with the soccer balls.
Throwing
Our Kindergarten and First grade students improved their overhand throwing with various activities.
LaCrosse
Fourth and Fifth graders learned the basics of this exciting sport!
Frisbee
After practicing their frisbee throwing and catching skills, the Fourth and Fifth grade students enjoyed games of Ultimate Frisbee outside.
Pathways
Kindergarten and First Grade worked on pathways (straight, curved, zig-zag, and corner) this week. They used their "ice skates" to maneuver through each different one.
Battle Ball
The students continued to work on their throwing and catching. The activity also gave the students the chance to work on their spatial awareness, movement into open space, communication skills, and teamwork.
Dance Game
Kindergarten and First Grade had a blast this week learning about spatial awareness, nonlocomotor skills, and locomotor skills. The students learned how to move around the gym safely, and they all loved showing off their dance moves!
Frisbee
Students continued to work on their throwing and catching skills this week. Frisbee activities included "Top Saucer" and Frisbee "Gator".
Parachute Activites
Parachute activities such as "color swap", "popcorn", and "shoot the moon" all encourage cooperation, turn-taking, and sharing. Our kindergarten, first, and second graders have so much fun working together - all while strengthening their shoulder, arm, and hand muscles!
Fitness Testing
The third, fourth, and fifth graders completed the FitnessGram Pacer Test last week. Each student completed the test and recorded their result. We will be practicing this throughout the school year, and the students will have the chance to compare their results to see personal improvements.
