The Barnes and Noble Book Fair will be held Sunday, February 11 until Saturday, February 17 at the Barnes and Noble Town Center location. On Thursday, February 15 Mrs. Jones will share some books with us from 6:30 until 8:30.
If your child would like to get on stage and share a poem with us during that time, we will have time for that. Let Mrs. Hailey know if you would like to read a poem on the stage. They can dress-up to go along with their poem.
The list of books we would like for the media center will be posted soon. We have had some difficulty in getting the list posted to the blog.
The book club books are available in the media center under a bulletin board labeled "Join the Book Club." Your child may choose one of these books, but they do not have to read a book we have in the media center. You may already have a book at home, borrow one from the public library, or go to a bookstore to get a book to read for the book club.
Below is the link for the Newbery books. If your third grader is not ready to read a novel, they may certainly choose a Caldecott book to read.
